David Kuntz is a global leader in the field of AI-driven adaptive learning / personalized education. He is a recognized expert in the field skilled in data science, educational measurement, strategy, product development, talent development, research design, educational technology, and entrepreneurship

As Head of Data Science at Degreed, David is leading the development of Degreed’s next-generation inference engine, enabling personalized skill-development recommendations, targeted skill-role-opportunity matching, and related capabilities.

Prior to joining Degreed, David was Principal Advisor to the CEO at ACT, creating and leading the strategy and direction for ACT’s adaptive learning initiatives. Previously, At Knewton, David was Chief Research Officer, and led the development of the world's first large-scale, cloud-based, AI-driven adaptive learning platform for personalizing education. He led the team of data scientists, software engineers, and subject-matter experts, developing Knewton’s core adaptive models and psychometric infrastructure, and also led future-oriented research efforts, focusing on better understanding and modeling student learning in personalized contexts, at macro-scale.

Prior to joining Knewton, he held senior positions at Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC).
