Dr. Lucy Voss-Price, Group Head of Learning, Standard Bank Group

Lucy is Group Head of Learning at Standard Bank where she leads 190 learning professionals to help 46,000 employees reach clients in 20 African countries.


Before joining the bank in January 2020, she was Head of the Central Bank Academy at the South African Reserve Bank. Much of her career has been at business schools, having been Director of Custom Programmes at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), Deputy CEO at Regenesys Management, and Head of Faculty and Curriculum Design at the Graduate Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT). Lucy’s career started in non-profit and human rights organisations from where she moved on to teach at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and Griffith University in Australia. She also worked as a learning and development consultant with a range of organisations including Siemens, Dimension Data, Sybase, South African Airways and Samancor Mining.

Lucy has a PhD from Griffith University in Australia and a particular interest in the role of play in learning. 

Fiona Leteney

Fiona Leteney, Senior Analyst for Learning Systems, Fosway Group

Fiona Leteney is the Senior Analyst for Learning Systems at Fosway Group, Europe’s #1 HR industry analyst. She has worked in the learning technology market since 2000, gaining a wealth of experience by either selling, implementing or managing learning solutions in a corporate context.

Fiona joined Fosway Group in 2016 and is the primary lead on research in the Learning Systems market. She gathers vendor, customer and market insights, helping corporate clients accelerate their decision making across all aspects of next generation learning.

Prior to joining Fosway Group, Fiona was the Global Learning Technologies Services Manager at healthcare provider, Bupa. As a recognised industry figure, she has been a magazine columnist since 2006 and judges the annual Learning Technology awards.

Donald H Taylor, Research and Chair, Learning Technologies Conference

A recognised commentator and thinker in the fields of workplace learning and supporting technologies, Donald is committed to helping develop the learning and development profession. From 2010 to 2021, he chaired the Learning and Performance Institute, where he continues to head the Advisory Board and Learning Professionals Network.

A core part of Donald’s commitment to the profession is what he calls ‘creating spaces for meaningful conversations’. To this end, he has chaired the Learning Technologies Conference in London since 2000, hosted its bi-weekly webinar programme since 2007, and contributed to other conferences world-wide. His annual L&D Global Sentiment Survey, now in its ninth year, attracts responses from thousands of respondents in over 80 countries.

His work over more than 30 years in L&D ranges from training delivery to director and vice-president positions in software companies. Donald has been a company director and shareholder for three companies through start up, growth and acquisition. He now advises a number of EdTech start-ups, and works with Emerge Education, a European seed fund focused on start-ups in this field.

He is a graduate of Oxford University and in 2016 was awarded an honorary doctorate by Middlesex University in recognition of his work developing the L&D profession.

Kelly Palmer, Chief Learning & Talent Officer, Degreed

Kelly Palmer is on a mission to change the way the world learns and builds skills. A well-known thought leader on learning, business, and career development, she is currently on the executive team of Degreed as the chief learning/talent officer and was formerly the chief learning officer of LinkedIn. She is the co-author of the book The Expertise Economy: How the smartest companies use learning to engage, compete, and succeed, which was named one of the best business books of 2019. She speaks regularly at companies and business conferences around the world, has been featured in Harvard Business Review, the Financial Times, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, Inc, and Barron’s among others. Kelly lives in Denver, CO.
